Ray Kohout was one of my home care workers, as nice an individual as you could hope to meet.. My home care service was abruptly terminated for several weeks following a home invasion at the residence where I was staying. Ray was one of the first to return to work at my residence after the attack. I tried to explain to him that there was no wrongdoing on our part and that there was nothing to fear as the home invaders were all known to the police and worked for them. Ray was one of few people that I had told at the time that the perpetrators were RCMP informants. I later filed for a freedom of information request to find out who was responsible for canceling my home care, based on what, and supplied by whom? As it turns out one of Ray's home care partners at the time was an associate and neighbor of one of the persons suspected in the crime. Ray's other co-workers, all health care professionals, claim that it would be totally out of character for Ray to have committed suicide.
